Don Van Doren is Principal and co-founder of UniComm Consulting, an independent consulting firm that focuses exclusively on unified communications and collaboration. The firm helps enterprise clients understand the potential for UC in their business, develop strategies appropriate to their goals and opportunities, identify specific applications and associated ROI, help identify supplier partners, and assist with implementation, including project management, change leadership, and metrics.

In addition to his work on client projects and helping manage the firm, Don writes articles and columns and speaks frequently at industry conferences. Don and his UniComm Consulting partner, Marty Parker, are widely recognized as thought leaders in the emerging unified communications marketplace. In addition, Don supports the development of the unified communications industry through his participation as a UCStrategies.com expert. Don is also president of Vanguard Communications (www.vanguard.net), an independent consulting firm which helps clients plan, design, and implement innovative contact center technology and processes, as well as developing effective customer interaction strategies. Before founding Vanguard, Don held management positions in several systems integration firms. 

Don has an undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
