AudioCodes Makes PSTN Connectivity and Survivability Solutions for Microsoft Lync Available

AudioCodes has announced that its Enhanced Gateways and Survivable Branch Applications for Microsoft Lync 2010 are now available. Customers who use the "Basic" and "Basic Hybrid" gateways for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 can migrate to Microsoft Lync Server 2010's "Enhanced" and "Survivable Branch Appliance" gateway configurations via a remote software upgrade, so their investment in the hardware is maintained.

There are a variety of ways customers can make use of AudioCodes' gateways in the Microsoft unified communications environment. By connecting their headquarters to Lync Server 2010, the PSTN, or the enterprise TDM-PBX, enterprises can use AudioCodes Mediant 1000, 2000, or 3000 as Enhanced Gateways, while organizations with multiple branch offices can use Mediant 1000 or 2000 as "Survivable Branch Appliances" to connect branch offices to their headquarters. Customers in small and medium branches can unify the functionalities that branch connectivity requires into one device, as well as use Mediant 800 or 1000 as Multi-Service Business Gateways for data routing, firewalls, and accessing the branch.
