Avaya Data Solutions on the Rise

4 Aug 2010

Avaya recently declared an increase in momentum for its Avaya Data Solutions (ADS) business unit, which has already generated four consecutive quarters of growth.

The recent growth has been attributed to its "Fit for Purpose" market strategy, as well as recent portfolio enhancements, new lead generation campaigns, and acting upon plans designed to maximize on the company's customer base. The current value proposition of delivering data networking solutions for ADS are significantly higher than the total cost of ownership, gaining the attention of customers and industry analysts alike.

"Avaya is showing a serious focus on growing the data and infrastructure portfolio it acquired as part of the acquisition of Nortel Enterprise," says David Yedwab, UC Expert for UCStrategies. "Having its own data infrastructure portfolio allows Avaya to provide a complete unified communications solution - from infrastructure to applications. However, competing against data infrastructure industry leaders like Cisco and HP will continue to be a challenge. Looking forward to see how well Avaya succeeds."

Since Avaya's acquisition of Nortel in December of 2009, Avaya Data Solutions has been experiencing a strong update in new and legacy business alike. This month, ADS launched a new WLAN solution, intended to help customers maximize the value of their WLAN investments and upgrade to better solutions.
