Blue Jeans Introduces Version 3.0

11 Nov 2015

The latest version of Blue Jeans has been unveiled, as version 3.0 is announced. The latest version of the product offering from Blue Jeans Network was designed with customer and end-user feedback in mind, providing flexible access to an upgraded set of features, along with new integrations and management tools.

Blue Jeans provides cloud-based video collaboration services for over 25 million users worldwide and growing. With all those users, there's been a lot of feedback for them to consider, but version 3.0 is designed to meet the most common demands.

Among the changes to the newest version is an improved user interface, with a quick action menu, one-click connections, and new audio capabilities. It also offers WebRTC support for Google Chrome, allowing users to enter and launch meetings more effortlessly.

Additionally, Blue Jeans 3.0 offers integration with Slack (a messaging platform), and the learning management system Canvas. The new integrations are designed to complement its current integrations with tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and Salesforce Chatter.

Along with these new additions are advanced reporting, analytics, and ROI data, brought through the Blue Jeans Command Center. This should appeal to IT departments and decision makers, who need to know how their systems are working.

"There is a definite shift in preference toward cloud services, especially with video infrastructure," states Dave Michels, UC Expert for UCStrategies. "As if OpEx and on-demand wasn't enough, Blue Jeans is now strengthening its offering with WebRTC and integrations. This could further accelerate the migration from premises-based to cloud-delivered infrastructure."

The new improvements and additions to Blue Jeans 3.0 are brought together with the interoperable offering Blue Jeans is already known for. The aim of the improvements is to not only provide a better experience for the users, but to make it easier to use Blue Jeans with their existing tools and workflow.

Blue Jeans 3.0 will be rolling out this month with the standard Blue Jeans service. For more information, visit www.bluejeans.com.
