BroadSoft Acquires Intellinote

6 Jun 2016

BroadSoft has a new acquisition, with the purchase of Intellinote. Based in Virginia, Intellinote provides a team communication and collaboration software application, focused around enterprise messaging and designed for a mobile and millennial work environment. This acquisition provides further technology for BroadSoft's Project Tempo.

Broadsoft notes that while standalone enterprise messaging applications are gaining traction in the enterprise, Intellinote offers a broader range of enterprise messaging-based capabilities that include project, task and content management, and over 50 application integrations. Intellinote's capabilities include enterprise messaging, management for projects, tasks, and content, and multitudes of application integrations. By adding this to BroadSoft's Project Tempo - an open communications framework made to improve team collaboration and productivity with enterprise cloud applications, contextual intelligence, and real-time UC services provided by BroadSoft UC-One - BroadSoft greatly enhances its team-centric collaboration features.

It should be noted that Intellinote has earned accolades for its flexible platform for, according to Frost & Sullivan, "integrating popular business applications, offering file access at any time for any device, and improvements to real-time communication." So BroadSoft knows it's getting its money's worth.

Regarding what that "money's worth" is, the financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. However, BroadSoft anticipates that the acquisition will be dilutive by about 4 cents to its non-GAAP earnings.
