BroadSoft Releases UC One

24 Oct 2012

BroadSoft is releasing a new platform, made to help telecommunications service providers offer more Unified Communications solutions. The UC One combines all the critical elements that a telecommunications service provider needs, from mobility to open APIs.

Mobile device integration is considered very important for choosing UC solutions, while complexity is a turn-off for potential buyers. The UC One handles both of those, providing a comprehensive set of communications solutions for each market, so that businesses of all sizes can get all the solutions they need.

There are four key components to the UC One Platform: an intuitive user experience lets all the tools one needs be available from a single interface, it's made to integrate with all mobile networks and is accessible from all sorts of devices, it comes as an "open" UC platform so that service providers can customize it as needed, and there are also market-ready packages for each customer segment.

"UC One is an impressive move," says Dave Michels, UCStrategies' UC Expert. "The company has been hard at work putting together a strong UC package that is as good or better than many premises-based solutions. It natively federates with Google Talk for presence and integrates with Polycom video equipment positions it nicely for inter-organizational communications. I expect it to do very well in the marketplace."
