Broadvox and Cypress Announce Merger

17 Oct 2010

Broadvox and Cypress Communications, providers of unified communications and VoIP, have recently announced their merger agreement. Both companies have several years of experience in their respective markets, and the combined company is expected to strengthen and expand their services.

As a result of the merger, Cypress will have access to Broadvox's network backbone, allowing it to serve its customer base more efficiently and easily. At the same time, Broadvox will gain from its network backbone's increased usage, and can enhance its carrier, SMB, and SME offerings with the suite of unified communications services offered by Cypress. The customers using products from either company will be unaffected, and can continue using said products normally.

"Industry consolidation continues to take place, and will likely be even more prevalent in the hosted space," comments Dave Michels of UCStrategies. "This larger operation will have some scale benefits as it broadens its UC portfolio."
