Hosted Video Service from Broadvox
Cloud-delivered video services will be brought to SMBs and enterprises, according to Broadvox. Plug-and-play will now be used as a desktop solution from Polycom, Inc., and this will enable the collaboration of colleagues, partners and customers, through face-to-face communication, and over a range of standard-based video platforms.
Plug-and-play installations are provided through Polycom VVX Business Media Phones and the Polycom VVX Camera, and this transforms Polycom VVX 500 and Polycom VVX 600 Business Media Phones into cost-effective, high definition video collaboration environments. The 720p HD video camera can be installed by users by plugging it into the USB port at the top of the phone, and as no software drivers are needed, video conferences can be joined in a matter of seconds. Existing VoIP networks allow the service to operate, and therefore the distribution is both easy and cost-effective.
The Polycom VVX 500 and VVX 600 Business Media Phones provide customers of Broadvox with convenient and cost-effective methods to distribute point-to-point video collaboration across the workplace. The carrier-grade phones includes touchscreens and an intuitive user interface, and this provides the usual tap-and-swipe usability of smartphones and tablets to the desktop. Some other video features are things like privacy shutters, adjustable tilt, multiple video screen mode, side-by-side and PIP (picture-in-picture) window modes, and adjustable frame rates. (CY) Link
