LG-Ericsson Enters the Voice Market

14 Apr 2011

LG-Ericsson USA has announced the North American launch of iPECS-LIK, a full-featured business communications product family that enables pure IP communications for business applications. It has the functionality of a traditional PBX, while also providing features designed to enhance productivity, such as voice and video conferencing and data collaboration.

iPECS-LIK is built on a fully distributed architecture that's designed to grow with the company, and provides performance through a traditional telephony interface in a distributed or centralized network to adapt to different or changing needs. It's customer-configurable, and integrates applications for enhanced communications over an IP network, and provides a user-friendly interface.

Designed for IP telephony applications, the iPECS-LIK pure IP architecture streamlines business processes and gives productivity a boost, with complementing applications for soft-phones, PC attendant, network management, Unified Communications and Unified Messaging, as well as Advanced Interface Messaging for computer telephony interface with third-party applications.

"The new entry of LG-Ericsson into the UC equipment space comes at an interesting time for the UC space," says David Yedwab of UCStrategies." Most of the trends are pointing away from a CPE-centric solution to both software and cloud/outsourced environments. Maybe LG-Ericsson knows something that many have missed - and a solution that could scale cost effectively from 10 to 1,000 employees might be interesting with the right capabilities, price-points, end-points and, most importantly - channel. Let's wait and see how this plays out."

The iPECS-LIK is available now through LG-Ericsson USA's certified resellers. For more information, visit www.lgericssonus.com.
