Mitel Releases AnyWare Cloud-Based Service

9 May 2012

Mitel has recently introduced the AnyWare Infrastructure-as-a-Service, a new cloud-based service for deploying Unified Communications-as-a-Service. With the AnyWare IaaS, Mitel's Freedom Architecture is extended to let IT organizations host virtualized UCC software in a private datacenter.

AnyWare IaaS helps IT organizations implement virtualized voice, unified communications, and collaboration, all without having to deploy them in their datacenter. Organizations can deploy a private or hybrid cloud model, streamlining operations and reducing infrastructure costs while enabling IT departments to offload their in-house resources while providing the collaboration and communication resources their organization needs.

As AnyWare is VMware Ready, it can integrate with an enterprise's current virtualized infrastructure. It's optimized for Mitel's UCC applications, and facilitates centralized UCaaS deployments.

"Mitel has been a long term partner with VMWare, and states that the AnyWare solution is VMWare-ready, and can connect into the enterprise's virtualized infrastructure, a key design component desired by many organizations we consult for," says Stephen Leaden, UC Expert at UCStrategies. "Also, Mitel is SAS-70 certified and compliant in the Data Center environment, assuring an organization that Mitel will disclose its control activities and processes to its customers. Lastly, the announcement states that organizations will be able to utilize Mitel's comprehensive suite of UC applications, including truly virtualized voice and Mitel's UCC applications, which facilitates centralized UCaaS deployments. Most of our clients are actively seeking a full UC suite with replacement systems, and it looks like Mitel is ready to deliver on such."
