New Mobility Solution Suite from Dell

Dell has announced the release of a number of mobility solutions that will be able to aid companies in adopting BYOD services. Furthermore, a number of technology competencies for their PartnerDirect program were also announced.

Solutions for endpoint security, migration security and transition to the cloud were all announced as part of the mobility suite. These include Dell KACE Management Appliances and Dell Quest User Workspace Solutions (designed to offer improved endpoint security via remote configuration management encryption and imaging.

Migration Manager for Exchange and Migration Manager for Active Directory will also come as part of the mobility suite, and will ensure that users will be able to make a one-step migration from Microsoft Office 2000-2003 to Microsoft Office 2013, as well as on-premise to either cloud, hybrid or another on-premise system that does not disrupt workflows of employees.

Finally, the suite will also be setup to operate via cloud-based applications, and this will mean that data can be both stored and accessed securely from remote devices.

Furthermore, new software competencies will be included in the company's PartnerDirect program. New revenue thresholds for software reseller partners will be added over the next few months, and will mean that users joining acquired organizations will be able to choose to distribute just hardware or just software, or both.
