REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., the leading supplier of tactical edge communications systems, is pleased to announce it will be a part of the Mercury Systems booth at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, FL, May 20-23, 2019.

Designed to support U.S. Army modernization strategies, REDCOM and Mercury Systems are working together to deliver an integrated solution for mobile Army communications applications that range from tactical command posts to national and strategic-level communications.

At the show, REDCOM will be exhibiting the latest versions of its military-grade virtualized call control software Sigma® running on Mercury Systems RESmini XR6 small form-factor server. The RESmini XR6 was built from the ground up for mission-critical applications where performance, reliability, and availability are crucial. As a “data center in a briefcase”, the RESmini XR6 features an Intel Xeon scalable CPU with up to 28 cores, up to 384 GB memory, and up to 240TB storage via 8 hot-swappable drives.

With REDCOM Sigma software running on the RESmini XR6, REDCOM and Mercury Systems can deliver dramatically improved interoperable communications capabilities for tactical, expeditionary, and Special Operations Forces.

“REDCOM's integration with Mercury Systems RESMini XR6 promotes true portability and interoperability at the tactical edge,” said Michael Scaravillo, Government Program Manager at REDCOM. “With REDCOM Sigma installed on the RESMini XR6, we can enable powerful and secure call control capabilities in an incredibly compact and resilient form factor.”

REDCOM Sigma is a software-based call and session controller with features and capabilities particularly advantageous for government and military users including VoIP, Video (P2P), Chat/XMPP with Presence, Voice Conferencing, Unified Messaging, and full MLPP support. REDCOM Sigma is built for maximum effectiveness with an intuitive interface, rapid boot time, and resiliency to hard power-off. REDCOM Sigma’s encryption is a FIPS 140-2 validated engine and is continuously updated for NSA security guideline compliance (including NIAP & CSFC).

REDCOM will also be showcasing the REDCOM Secure Client, the company’s secure mobile app for Windows®, Android™, and iOS™. The app features full preemption controls and Push-to-Talk for instantaneous voice communication via IP.
