ShoreTel Presents Distributor of the Year Title to ScanSource Communications
At ShoreTel's recent Champion Partner Conference, ScanSource was announced as the proud recipient of the "US Distributor of the Year" title presented by ShoreTel, a provider of unified communications (UC) platforms.
This award is given to companies who exhibit high-quality channel enablement, value-added services and support, and business development. It was presented to ScanSource officials at the recent conference in Orlando, Florida.
Speaking on behalf of ScanSource Communications, president Buck Baker stated that they are honored by the recognition from ShoreTel because they too share the commitment to aid the growth of their reseller partners and strengthen their UC businesses in turn.

ScanSource is a wholesale distributor for specialty technology products and provide distribution services and sales to resellers in the same market. This includes automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) and point-of-sale (POS) solutions from its ScanSource POS and Barcoding sales unit as well as video, voice, and converged communications equipment with its Catalyst Telecom and ScanSource Communications sales units. Finally, they also offer solutions for physical security issues through its ScanSource Security sales unit.
The company is comprised of two distribution segments; one is based in Southaven, Mississippi, serving North America, and an international segment, which serves Latin America - including Brazil and Mexico. For the international segment, ScanSource has distribution centers in Miami, Florida; Mexico City, Mexico; Curitiba, Brazil; Recife, Brazil; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. They also have centers throughout Europe in Liege, Belgium, and Cologne in Germany.
