The Wireless Innovation Forum (WInnForum) announced today the addition of six new members: 3rd Net, ATDI, Industrial Technology Research Institute, SMU, SYRTEM, and Tembo Systems. These new members join more than 80 current international member organizations including radio manufacturers, their partners and suppliers, acquisition authorities, service providers, operators, standards bodies, researchers and regulatory agencies.

3rdNet, created by the founders of MetroPCS, focuses on the deployment of private networks. In addition, exploring applications such as merging new capabilities of the Software Defined Radio technologies into a wireless network nodes will help SMU work to satisfy communications requirements securely where users communicate effectively. Reconfigurability and resource allocation in these areas are subject to research where highly capable multichannel supporting Software Defined Radios are being designed and deployed.
