UC Summit 2014 Draws Closer

13 Apr 2014

The UC Summit is approaching, with much to look forward to. This year's summit, held in La Jolla, California from April 27-30, will focus on UC industry trends such as mobility, WebRTC, the cloud, SDN, and more, enabling attendees to make new connections and learn more about emerging technologies and trends.

The UC Summit is an invitation-only event, with invitations sent to 80-90 decision makers from top solution integrators and resellers offering Unified Communications solutions. It also extends invitations to end-user consultants who are transitioning from data or voice to UC, collaboration, social software, and cloud-based solutions. In order to keep the discussions dedicated to product adoption and channel enablement, there are no enterprise customers at the event. Vendors at the UC Summit will have access to many networking and partnership opportunities with reseller executives, as well as end-user consultants.

In addition to the educational sessions presented by the UCStrategies analysts and consultants, attendees will get to hear from several big-name companies, including Unify, NEC, Mitel, SMART, HP, Interactive Intelligence, Plantronics, ShoreTel, Sonus, AVST, and more.

According to Jim Burton, co-founder of UCStrategies, "The UC industry is in the process of making a major shift from 'click-to-communicate' to communications integrated to optimize business processes, with the addition of analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. The reseller community is pivoting from selling products to selling solutions and services. These issues and challenges will be at the core of what we discuss at this year's UC Summit."

The Unified Communications industry has experienced many changes, with new trends and technologies that change the playing field. The UC Summit covers all of these changes, including hosted solutions and hybrid clouds, MDM, SDN, WebRTC and Contact Center solutions, making it a go-to destination for vendors looking to expand their offerings, and for decision makers looking to learn more about the current trends to watch for.

Reseller channel executives and end-user consultants who wish to attend can request an invitation from the UCStrategies website. For more information about the UC Summit, visit http://www.ucstrategies.com/ucsummit/2014/.
