AVST Launches New CX-E Platform

14 Jun 2017

Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) has released the newest version of its CX-E platform, which adds new functionality to Skype for Business. This new release aims to address key enterprise security requirements, while improving upon its available tools and features to further enhance the user experience.

CX-E is AVST’s enterprise-class Unified Communications platform, designed to augment the Skype for Business user telephony experience. This latest version adds Click-to-Call functionality with auto-dial mode, which allows users to initiate calls through either the Skype for Business client or an existing PBX. Additionally, it enables the forwarding of calls to CX-E in certain conditions, such as when in Presentation Mode or Do Not Disturb.

Along with the added functionality, the new CX-E includes support for Android 7, as well as VMware vSphere 6.5.

Given that security tends to be a key concern for businesses, and a major spending driver, the new CX-E includes important enterprise security requirements. Mobile devices in particular are often in need of strong security, hence the addition of features like a mobile client inactivity timeout, so that users won’t have to worry about forgetting to log out. AVST assures customers that their data will remain secure when retrieved from the Mobile Client on iOS and Android devices.

“Most enterprises have a mix of PBXs, and connecting to Skype for Business can be challenging,” says Blair Pleasant, co-founder of UCStrategies. She adds, “Using a product like CX-E lets these organizations more easily utilize the functions of Skype for Business on any of their PBXs, getting more value out of their investments.”

The new version of CX-E is available through AVST’s reseller channels around the world. For more information, visit www.avst.com
