BroadSoft Releases BroadCloud PaaS

10 May 2017

BroadSoft, Inc. has announced the commercial availability of its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering, BroadCloud. This managed cloud infrastructure allows service providers to bring the BroadSoft Business cloud applications to market, and is available now to service providers as part of the BroadCloud cloud platform.

BroadCloud PaaS is designed to allow providers to meet the demand for turnkey solutions hosted and operated by a third party. With it, they can meet the ever-changing needs of business users, while offering control over customizations and integrations, and optimizing capital and operational expenditures. It provides control and flexibility for developing on-demand unified cloud communication and collaboration services, and simplified and scalable packaging options in order to reduce operational complexity.

Given the need for fast and innovative service delivery, PaaS is often seen as a good means through which service providers can remain competitive while maintaining control and flexibility. BroadSoft is aiming to utilize those benefits to provide cloud applications to market while maintaining management for their customers, so that service providers can focus more on the user experience and accelerate time-to-market. Additionally, service providers can still benefit from carrier-class reliability and BroadSoft data centers with physical, environmental, and access level security.

According to Jon Arnold of UCStrategies and J Arnold & Associates: "There are a lot of variations to follow with BroadSoft, and BroadCloud PaaS is a managed offering that's ideal for service providers who are lagging with cloud, and need to quickly get to market before their customers go elsewhere. For those who have already started their customers with hosted services, BroadCloud PaaS provides a flexible platform to layer on customized applications that differentiate service providers from more price-driven OTT competitors."

BroadCloud PaaS is available as part of the BroadCloud cloud platform powering BroadSoft Business. For more information, visit www.broadsoft.com.
