Information Transport Systems Selects VOSS-4-UC

15 Oct 2019

VOSS Solutions announced that Information Transport Systems, Inc. (ITS) has taken the decision to transition from Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (CUCDM) to VOSS-4-UC.

Based in Alabama, ITS is a full-service provider of technology solutions integrating voice, video, and data to make organizations more profitable and productive. ITS helps educational institutions build the right infrastructure and implement technologies to build a safe environment, enhance administrative efficiency, and create digital classrooms. Other key markets for ITS include financial, banking, and healthcare. Founded in 1998 by Tomi Selby, ITS employs highly trained technicians and engineers, customer support representatives, and IT professionals.

ITS took the decision to migrate its Cisco HCS UC management component from CUCDM to VOSS-4-UC, for two specific reasons:

  • VOSS-4-UC offers proven shared multi-tenancy architecture - ITS wanted to optimize its Cisco HCS architecture to become a multi-tenancy shared architecture, offering affordable cloud-based UCaaS packages to its customers, while simplifying the delivery and administration of the new model. VOSS-4-UC enables ITS to deploy and manage a multi-tenant shared architecture in Cisco HCS, to achieve this goal while still providing end customers with access to the same world-class UC Management portals for their users and site administrators that non-shared architecture customers enjoy.
  • VOSS-4-UC supports customized dial plans on a per-customer basis - ITS recognized that each of its customers has a unique business requirements that demand custom dial plan requirements, and wanted to select a UC management platform that offered the flexibility and agility to cater for multiple dial plan scenarios even down to a customer site level. VOSS-4-UC delivers a wide ranging suite of dial plan tools and modelling capabilities that was able to meet and exceed ITS customer dial plan needs.

Rob Moore, VP Global Services at VOSS, added; “Since Cisco announced the end of life of CUCDM, we have experienced a mass exodus from CUCDM to VOSS-4-UC, to unlock a number of really important benefits. I’m delighted that ITS is one such HCS partner, and I look forward to working with the ITS team to ensure they get the very best out of VOSS-4-UC to optimize their Cisco HCS architecture.”
