Joseph Williams is an analyst and consultant in the UC industry, with specialties in the channel and in the cloud (UCaaS). A former Business School dean, Joseph recently was the Managing Director for SaaS in Microsoft's Hosting Service Providers channel partner organization and he had run the Hosted Lync channel business. Prior to that he was a Senior Director in Microsoft's Lync product group’s Partner Engineering team and was responsible for integration engineering of Microsoft’s O365 cloud with service providers as well as for the development and delivery of all Lync Hosted and cloud solutions. 

Other roles within Microsoft included being the Chief Technology Officer for Microsoft’s $20 billion enterprise sales organization, being the CTO for Microsoft’s Global Accounts organization, and running a Microsoft Consulting Services team of solution architects. Dr. Williams also worked at Sun Microsystems, JD Edwards, and was a co-founder and CTO of COSS Technology Group. In a distant past Dr. Williams was a professor in the College of Business at Colorado State University teaching and doing research on how enterprises use technology for strategic business advantage.
