Michael is an independent consultant when not performing the role of Director of Solution Architecture for a company looking to innovate in the communications industry. He began his career 24 years ago as a Sales Engineer for Pacific Bell in Northern California, beginning a journey that would embed him in technology transformations that enabled customers to derive material business value from their telecommunications investments. He moved up the OSI stack by joining Microsoft's Partner Engineering Team (OCS/Lync/Skype4Biz), where he got his first taste of innovation with the launch of Office 365. He's worked on SDN concepts to enable monitoring and diagnostics of VoIP systems and was a member of a Media Optimization team where they planned the transformation of a premises-based telephony model into a globally distributed cloud communications service.
More recently Michael has worked with industry leaders to help design a mobility service aimed at optimizing the enterprises’ visibility of and control over, and discoverability of the breadth of their employee communications to expand to communications that weren't anchored to enterprise systems. And lastly, he has worked with a Contact Center provider to assist in their evaluation of, technical requirements for, and innovation within the customer contact center as it merges with UCC and CRM systems.
Michael has a Master’s degree in Information and Technology Management and thrives in environments where delivery and disruption reign supreme.
