PanTerra Announces New Unified Cloud Service with Multi-Media Team Messaging

4 May 2017

PanTerra Networks has announced the release of the next generation of its unified cloud service: Streams. This new cloud service combines real-time communications, adding multi-media, persistent team messaging, the ability to share text, links, images, and even live broadcast streams, along with many more features. With all the enhancements and features, Streams builds upon and replaces PanTerra’s previous WorldSmart solution, and aims to elevate its standard for business communications.

Streams is intended to replace an existing PBX, secure cloud file sync & shares, while adding complete team messaging for all types of files. This allows for the sharing of not only text and image messages, but videos, audio, file, folders, and live broadcast streams. Additionally, it provides tighter unified applications, advanced ConnectMe Web Meeting conferencing features, and an overall improved usability and performance between applications compared to previous WorldSmart solutions. In addition, Streams offers new graphical analytics and reports, allowing for more visibility into the service.

The solution’s team management features allow access policies to be applied to various teams, as well as assign administrators and dynamically apply permissions. The Enhanced Admin Portal supports multiple admin levels, as well as localized admin privileges, so users can be assigned the exact amount of control and power that they need for their role.

According to Blair Pleasant, co-founder of UCStrategies: “Team collaboration is all the rage, and UCaaS vendors have been rushing to add these capabilities to their UC solutions. With the new Streams offer, PanTerra has gone the next step by not just adding team collaboration, but also integrating this with its built-in PBX, as well as contact center capabilities.”

She added, “Many vendors offer silos – either UC, team collaboration, web meeting, or contact center capabilities that aren’t integrated together. The key is having a seamless user experience.”

Streams can be accessed via a desktop browser or dedicated mobile app for Android and iOS devices. With all these new features, it’s is intended to provide more efficient team collaboration and management, as well as improving the effectiveness of customer interactions.
