Plantronics Launches Savi and Voyager Series Headsets

11 Oct 2018

Attempting to “tame distractions and noise in the modern workplace,” Plantronics has announced two new headset series to their Savi and Voyager lines. These new series are designed to enable mobility within the office environment while reducing noise and distraction, which is especially important in today’s open office environments.

Aimed at working in a mixed communication environment: Manage PC, mobile, and desk phone calls, the Savi 8200 Series offers a stereo over-the-head design with Active Noise Cancellation, in order to prevent distractions and keep the conversation clear. Providing Enterprise-grade DECT audio in either mono or hi-fi stereo, it has a wireless range of up to 180 feet in a typical office. Additionally, it has a close conversation-limiting feature, which focuses on the user’s voice while minimizing background noises so as to help the clarity of the conversation.

The Voyager 4200 UC Series, aimed at desk workers and in-office mobile workers, or “corridor warriors” who need to move throughout the office, uses wireless connectivity, utilizing wireless USB audio adapters as well as mono and stereo Bluetooth wearing style options. The headset offers a dynamic mute alert feature, so users who may be talking while muted will know that they’re not being heard.

In order to enable users to move freely, its battery life offers a 12-hour talk time and has a wireless range of up to 98 feet. In addition, the series has Skype for Business Open Office certification.

Both the Savi 8200 and Voyager 4200 series integrate with Plantronics Manager Pro software as a service (SaaS) offering. This provides wireless firmware updates from the user’s mobile device, as well as event reporting for management and insight purposes. Plantronics Manager Pro is a service sold separately, and does not come with the devices.

The Savi 8200 series is available now, with the Voyager 4200 series expected to be available at the end of October. For more information, visit www.plantronics.com.
