See You at UC Expo in London

11 May 2018

If you happen to be in the London area on May 16-17, be sure to attend UC Expo, the largest Unified Communications and Collaboration event in Europe. The theme of the two-day conference is Smarter Collaboration, featuring a range of keynote presenters, as well as panels and discussions on collaboration, AI, cloud, security, and more.

Last year I attended the event and gave a presentation on “The Future of Collaboration” – with some Beatles’-inspired slides. I’ll be doing something similar this year as I present a session on UCC User Adoption, focusing on why and how businesses need to develop an end user adoption strategy and program before deploying (or even purchasing) their UCC solution. Here’s a sample slide:

I’ll also be moderating a panel session on “How to Maximise Team Collaboration,” featuring speakers from AT&T, Cisco, Slack, and Microsoft. I’ll be asking the panelists a series of questions, including:

  • What do businesses need to know about deploying team collaboration services?
  • How are UC and team collaboration coming together?
  • What are the pros and cons of best of breed versus team collaboration as part of overall UCC solution?
  • How should businesses get started with team collaboration?
  • How will technologies like AI impact team collaboration?
  • What are some challenges that customers should be aware of?

My BCStrategies colleague Dave Michels will also be attendance, providing his contrarian insights on “Why Workstream Collaboration Matters,” and moderating a panel entitled “Make the Most of Video.”

The SCTC will have a large presence, with SCTC Members Sara Uzel, Martha Buyer, and Dave Mailer presenting on a range of topics, including “The Anatomy of Unified Communications,” “How to Deploy Cloud Voice Successfully,’’ “UC License Management,” “The impact of AI,” “The Evolving Workforce,” “GDPR from Across the Pond,” and “The Year Ahead.”

I’m impressed with the line up of keynote speakers representing a range of industry leaders, including AWS, BT, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, RingCentral, and Slack. There will also be a series of sessions on AI and its impact on the UC world.

Hope to see you there – cheers!
