SIPPIO Introduces New Partner Portal

22 Jun 2021

Many unified communication (UC) vendors and providers claim to be partner focused, but often times it’s merely lip service. Then there are other companies that truly walk the walk and talk the talk – and that’s where SIPPIO comes in. SIPPIO is 100% partner-focused, providing Microsoft hosted voice services. Architected and configured specifically for Microsoft Azure environments, SIPPIO has been at the forefront of Microsoft Teams direct routing, and allows carriers to leverage their platform.

SIPPIO is an Azure-based provider of voice calling services for Microsoft Teams and provides an end-to-end solution offering wholesale and aggregate carrier services. The company works with a variety of channel partners including carriers, MSPs, system integrators, VARs, Master Agents, and others. By wrapping a set of tools around its Microsoft Team direct routing offering, SIPPIO simplifies activation and onboarding, expediting migration to Teams.

Demonstrating its focus on the partner community, SIPPIO introduced a new partner portal designed to provide carriers, managed service providers (MSPs), resellers and integrators with a single portal through which they can sell, deploy, manage, scale and support their customers, while growing their practices. The Partner Portal provides tools and resources for partners to manage all their customers in one pane of glass – from quote to cash, featuring quoting and billing tool capabilities, as well as various APIs to build out customized reporting.

As the Microsoft UC ecosystem becomes more complex, MSPs SIs, and other partners need tools to help them better manage their customer base while onboarding new customers quickly and efficiently. Many of the manual tasks and processes for adding new users, enabling policies, purchasing and assigning numbers, managing number and device inventory, and so on, are time consuming and inefficient, making it challenging for partners to grow and scale at the pace they’d prefer. SIPPIO’s Partner Portal automates and replicates many of these tasks, enabling partners to focus on better servicing customers.

The Partner Portal can be used by SIPPIO partners to support their Microsoft Teams practices, leveraging the SIPPIO global calling platform. During a briefing call, SIPPIO explained that the company shifted its model and now provides both the platform and tools to let partners do their own billing, DID asset management, inventory of all DIDs and service numbers, toll free numbers, etc.

The portal provides the tools for admins to activate and support multiple customers simultaneously, including tenant provisioning, account activation, number porting and DID assignment.

The Partner Portal is totally modular and can be customized and white labeled for individual partner needs. Partners can add in their own product SKUs for items such as headsets, devices, their own services, etc. The portal also displays all of the phone numbers that the partner is managing for easier DID management.

The portal has an easy-to-use interface, enabling partners to manage their customers’ accounts, including billing, phone numbers, etc. The Customer panel is used to provision users, enabling partners to quickly spin up users in minutes.

Partners can purchase phone numbers based on geography. As shown above, partners can buy numbers quickly and easily by simply filling out the form and choosing the state where they’ll be offering the service. Partners can view a list of available numbers based on geography and buy the numbers they choose.

Partners can apply the appropriate routing policies based on geography.

According to SIPPIO’s Chief Evangelist, Paul McMillan, the purpose of the portal is to help the company’s channel partners reduce costs, gain efficiencies, and better manage the customer experience while maximizing performance and profits, and ensuring revenue growth. Reducing the complexity and helping partners be more efficient is an important step for both SIPPIO and its partners.
