Solaborate Launches HELLO 2

16 Oct 2018

Solaborate has announced the launch of HELLO 2; an updated version of its HELLO video communication device. Originally launched via Kickstarter in 2016, HELLO is designed to turn a television set into a communication device, including encrypted video, audio, and messaging with end-to-end encryption.

HELLO 2 is a device designed for hosting video conferences and meetings on the user’s television set. It will support a wide range of video conferencing platforms, including Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, and many more, while enabling conferencing tools such as wireless screencasting, screensharing, and a digital whiteboard. The device includes a camera with four far-field beaming microphones and a 4K HDR video sensor for high quality audio and video.

Solaborate is also introducing HELLO Creator Edition, HELLO Touch TV, and HELLO Room Controller. The HELLO Touch TV is a 4K Touch TV designed to work with HELLO and enable digital whiteboarding in real-time. HELLO Room Controller is an app that launches meetings from an Android tablet with a tap. Finally, HELLO Creator Edition is designed for developers, and enables them to design applications and hardware extensions on top of the HELLO communication platform.

Solaborate states that the company understands the importance of security and has designed HELLO 2 with hack-proof privacy controls. The end-to-end encryption is designed to keep calls and data safe.

HELLO 2 and new products are available now on Kickstarter, while end-to-end encrypted HELLO Messenger app can be downloaded on Google Play or App Store. After the campaign completes and the product launches, it will be made available for purchase through Solaborate. Anyone who backed the first HELLO Kickstarter will also receive $189 credit towards HELLO 2. The Kickstarter campaign has already reached its $30,000 goal, and backers can expect to receive their devices this December.
