StarLeaf Confirms Microsoft Teams Interoperability
StarLeaf has announced its successful completion of interoperability testing for Microsoft Teams. Through the testing, StarLeaf demonstrated that its GTm family of systems can now work with Teams, Microsoft’s chat-based workspace in Office 365, and makes StarLeaf the first company to confirm compatibility.
Microsoft Teams, a team collaboration solution that provides chats, calls, and meetings, is expected to replace the cloud-based Skype for Business. It offers HD video, VoIP, and dial-in audio conferencing options, along with file, app, and screen sharing features, plus several call features such as voice mail and e911. Since its introduction, several companies have been aiming to confirm their interoperability with it, although StarLeaf is the first to complete initial testing.
StarLeaf’s GTm family of video meeting room and management solutions has previously demonstrated its Skype for Business interoperability. It provides enterprises with communications tools in a native system that can register directly to the Skype for Business server and Microsoft Office 365. With this fast interoperability confirmation, StarLeaf has demonstrated its commitment to Microsoft’s platform. StarLeaf also notes that the company is gaining more traction with its Skype for Business portfolio, with five of its top 10 global sales wins for the third quarter of 2017 for integration of its Maestro management platform with Skype for Business systems.
The company adds that its Maestro management platform is a key component to these wins with the Skype for Busing systems, as it provides these organizations with unique enterprise management capabilities. One customer explained that they now have the ability to drill down into a level of detail that enables them to completely monitor their meeting room solutions.
