Avaya today made several announcements intended to "transform the way we work." The big themes within these announcements are collaboration and software. Specifically, Avaya announced:
Windstream and Avaya have agreed to work together in a new effort to broaden the reach of the latter's managed Unified Communications (UC) service offerings. These will include the Avaya Aura suite of communication solutions that will be made available in a fully managed, cloud-based solution.
This collaboration will mean that businesses will be able to access features and functionality from advanced UC, mobile and desktop collaboration, to messaging and other applications. These are available in a scalable, subscription-based service.
Collaboration Pod, a prepackaged converged infrastructure solution has been released by Avaya. It combines the unified communications of Avaya with networking, EMC storage and VMware's vCenter platform.
