In the quest to provide enterprise users with ubiquitous, simple and reliable visual and collaborative communication, the Open Visual Communications Consortium (OVCC), an international organization of global video exchange providers, network providers, manufacturers and solution providers, has announced an aggressive agenda for 2014.
ShoreTel made a number of announcements at Interop Las Vegas, including new collaboration solutions, an enhanced online portal for cloud customers, and a new unified communications and infrastructure bundled offering.
Interop still has some kick to it. As many of you know, this was quite a conference in the 90s. Of course, back then it was N+I (Networld Interop). Evidently, the Networld folks went somewhere else. Despite the conference's smaller size, it is still quite large and focused on networking technologies. However, there was a UC track, and some UC vendors and news at the event.
