Cisco unveiled plans last week to purchase a privately held and U.K-based manufacturer of 3G and 4G small-cell technologies for mobile networks, Ubiquisys. The deal is worth $310 million, and will mean that Cisco will purchase the whole of the Ubiquisys business and operations. The deal will end in Q4 of 2013.

Cisco Systems, Inc. grows its mobile offerings by acquiring U.K.-based Ubiquisys for $310 million. Ubiquisys, a firm headquartered in Swindon, is a supplier of 3G, long-term evaluation (LTE), and small-cell technologies.
