Oracle Launches New Cloud IaaS
A new cloud infrastructure as a service was launched by Oracle on Tuesday; it is able to be managed on-premise by companies utilizing their own private cloud.
The Oracle Infrastructure as a Service (Oracle IaaS) with Capacity of Demand was first announced by the CEO of the company, Larry Ellison, in October of last year at the OpenWorld conference in San Francisco.
Speaking at the conference, Ellison said: "True cloud means we have to own the infrastructure, we have to manage the infrastructure, [and] we have to upgrade the infrastructure."
